WND says Tweety called AWOLShrub a simpleton and endorses Dean !
" In a speech to university students, MSNBC host Chris Matthews characterized President Bush as a shallow-thinking, unlearned man who when confronted by aides with the decision about going to war with Iraq was given something to think about for the first time in his life.

Matthews disclosed he favors former Vermont governor Howard Dean for president in 2004, according to the Rhode Island daily.

"He came out of Vermont, a small state, with no foreign policy experience and with sheer guts he believed in one big idea and that big idea was: 'It was wrong to go around to the other side of the world to fight a war.'" Matthews said. "

Is this right wing rag trying to discredit Tweety, or is Tweety just flip-flopping and babbling as usual, but will come back to support AWOLChimpy ?

As the page turns . . .

1. Build him up......
then tear him down come election time.

It's just not MAtthews who's doing this, it's the entire press.

4. Or maybe it's just another one of Tweety's "man crushes"
I seem to recall someone here noting that Tweety once complimented Dean for his strong forearms.

2. whoa!
Kind of a shocker - and MSNBC is owned by right-wingers - he might be out of there, soon. That bit about Cheney might be a little over the top - I think Wolfowitz was involved, there, too. But now if Matthews could ask these candidates some substantive questions instead of "what's your favorite movie", he could redeem himself for his disgraceful clinton and gore-bashing.

3. Here's the local story quoted by WorldNet Daily
http://www.woonsocketcall.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=10419899&BRD=1712&PAG=461&dept_id=24361&rfi=8

Matthews acknowledged that his personal favorite in the race is Howard Dean, the former Vermont governor who many see as the Democratic front-runner.

7. I was watching Hardball the other night..
and I caught him say something like (not an exact quote) "either we should have gone to war in Iraq or we shouldn't have and whoever is right about that issue deserves to be the next President."

I thought it was a curious statement coming from him.

11. This is one endorsement
that Dean shouldnt want. Matthews is amongst the most whorish and disgusting people in the press. Just whan you think he has changed his stripes....he attacks you on his show for 2 weeks for wearing an earthtone shirt. Dean supporters will be wise not to be drawn to Tweetys' side.

13. Typical Tweety B.S. and Disinformation and Misdirection
"""""...characterized President Bush as a shallow-thinking, unlearned man..."""" ----------so then, Tweezer, he has been that way since birth, easily seen that way in Campaign 2000, so why did you campaign for him on cable t.v. 5 hrs per week for a year, rag on on a DEEP-thinking, learned man, Al GORE, then VOTE for Shrub?

""""...when confronted by aides with the decision about going to war..."""" -----------hockey puck crap, Tweezer, you're just continuing the wingnut shell game of absolving Shrub of all responsibility. The elephant in the room all the media continues to try not to see is that Shrub WANTED the Iraq attack from the day Poppy lost, he gravitated to the people who also wanted that, he gave out the absent-CEO message "This is what I want; YOU do the details to get it done."

As for Tweezer's supposedly supporting DEAN--------hockey puck crap, Tweezer. We know Tweezer communicates with ROVE. ROVE told us ahead of 2002 what the winning campaign strategy would be (manly, macho warlike stuff) and we didn't believe ROVE. ROVE sez he would love to have DEAN to campaign against, and we don't believe it. (No, this is not letting ROVE decide for us who to run or who to pick INSTEAD OF.)

Prediction: Tweezer will pump up Shrub and rag on the Dem nominee throughout Campaign '04 and will then vote for Shrub. Fuck Tweezer and the elephant he rode in on.

19. You forgot: Rove told his whore Tweety that Wilson's wife was "fair game"
Edited on Sat Nov-01-03 09:34 PM by blm
I doubt Rove would have said that to anyone but his most trusted whores. You don't hear Tweety coming out and talking about Rove's involvement on the outing, even though he knows FIRSTHAND, do you?

Tweety has to bring down Kerry because Wilson is aligned with Kerry.

This is EXACTLY what they intend to do. Pump up Dean in the media to keep Kerry from getting the nomination.

20. I have found that WND is one of the more unreliable sources
for news. Trends towards hyperbolic conspiratorial rightleaning but bushdistrusting stories - that are never verified and never show up again anywhere else.

23. How's This for Hilarity
Edited on Sat Nov-01-03 10:26 PM by UTUSN
*******QUOTE***
.... Sources tell WND that management at MSNBC are becoming increasingly perturbed at Matthews for his outspoken criticism of Bush.

The commentator acknowledged the president has some "clear strengths" and is the favorite in next year's election.

Bush had a "King Arthur moment," he said, in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks when he stood on the rubble of the World Trade Center and declared into a bullhorn "'the people who knocked these buildings down are going to hear from all of us.' He pulled the sword out of the stone." ....
******UNQUOTE*****

Tweety has tried comparing Shrub to CHURCHILL, JFK (Shrub, "our YOUNG pResident"), FDR/LINCOLN ("a wartime pResident")---all incredible comparisons, and now King Arthur fer-goodness-SAKES! And MSRNC is worried about Tweety being CRITICAL of Shrub????pulleeeze.
