What Advice For Your Favorite Candidate?
What advice would you give to your favorite candidate to improve his apeal?

I am a Clark supporter and if I could suggest one thing to him it would be that he work to come across as a bit more forceful, to take command of the stage. I'm sure he can do it but he seems to come across as a bit appologetic.

Who is your favorite and what would you suggest to him or her?

1. With Clark, I don't think he needs to be forceful
Edited on Sat Nov-01-03 09:11 PM by La_Serpiente
That's how everyone is acting on stage. This is a time for him to break out of the crowd.

If I were a Clark supporter, I would tell him to be more confident and carefree.

However, with Dean (and perhaps Kerry. I'm kind of in a transistionary state) Dean, I would tell him to say something more positive once in a while.

With Kerry, he has great comebacks. To me, his makes the most sense.

2. For Dean
Not just to talk about reaching out to the people who don't vote Democratic, but to take the campaign to them.

As for Clark, I'd really like to see him be more forceful too. And to really take a stand on the issues... put up his platform on his website...

3. With all of the Dem candidates, because they are all my favorite
Not literally, but at heart...

Always keep in mind that the ultimate objective is not becoming the nominee of the Democratic party. The real goal is beating George Bush* and becoming the President of the United States. Work to make sure that if you win the nomination, you haven't become so damaged that a defeating Bush is impossible.

4. For Kucinich:
1. Apologize for his support of the Flag-Burning Amendment

2. Start lobbying for more media coverage of his campaign.

5. For Dean
When you speak of repealing Bush's tax cut, make clear (whether this is what you've meant previously or not), that you want to repeal BUSH's tax cuts and not the tax cuts the dems added for the middle class.

Also, I know you're busy winning NH and Iowa, but don't wait much longer to start campaigning in the south. Like, another month at the most.

6. Edwards: Continue NOT bashing the other candidates.
They don't attack you, either, because of it. But go after bush with hammer and tongs, and BUY air time if you must, because you have GOT to get more media exposure!!

7. My advice to all the candidates is keep the "gun control"
issues low key. Plenty of time to debate it after one of you are elected. This issue really stirs up the emotions in Okla. and our surronding states.

8. For Any and All
Repudiate the fear. We are hungry out here for a message of hope and peace. Don't play in Bush's poop-filled sandbox. Challenge us to rise above the fear. Give us reasons to be optimistic. If you base your efforts on the acceptance of Bush's world-view of danger and terror and insecurity, you will be left trying to out-Bush Bush.

Remind us that the home of the brave does not mean that we are itching for "them" to bring it on, but that we have the courage to stand up for high moral values in the face of temptation to lower ourselves to our basest instincts. Lift us up.

10. For Clark
Maintain the high road. Don't trash the other Dems. Let them shred each other if that is what they are so inclined to do, but please stay above the fray.

11. Bush's military record
He needs to expose this phony and he needs to expose what is happening in the WH and pentagon with Syria!

12. for all: ignore stupid people with confederate flags
make sure you don't go after the "stupid people" vote.

Ignore them. Pretend they don't exist. Millions will get offended if you acknowledge their existence. You will be called racist.
