An American patriot -- a true American hero -- is under attack by the radical left in this country.
Since he returned to the Pentagon three years ago, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld has been instrumental in modernizing our nation's military into a 21st century fighting force.
Not only has he transformed the military, he gave us much-needed leadership at the Pentagon through the trauma of the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the building and the ensuing conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. He has stood STRONG in the war on terrorism.
Now, less than five months after he helped President Bush formulate and execute a bold plan in which a U.S. invasion force drove to Baghdad and toppled the dictatorial government of Saddam Hussein in 21 days, Secretary Rumsfeld is under attack -- by the same coalition of Socialist-led anti-war demonstrators and radical left-wing Hollywood "actors" that tried to undermine our fight against terrorism with their "blame America" tactics during the war.
These radical leftists, led by groups like MoveOn.org, have even gone so far as to take out a full-page ad in the New York Times, with a headline stating that Donald Rumsfeld "BETRAYED" our nation.
You read that right. These left-wing "hate America" radicals are calling Secretary Rumsfeld a TRAITOR, and demanding he be removed from office.
A *traitor*!!! This man is a former Navy pilot... the former U.S. Ambassador to NATO... a former U.S. Congressman... and was even the youngest secretary of defense in the nation's history back in the 1970s.
Secretary Rumsfeld was even awarded the nation's highest civilian award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. And the socialists wannabes at MoveOn.org have the GALL to say this man BETRAYED our nation.
As far as we're concerned, the REAL traitors are the ones giving "aid and comfort" to America's enemies, by taking out full-page ads in nationally-distributed newspapers, attacking our leaders and heroes... and ultimately, our troops in the field.
It's time to FIGHT BACK against these radical leftists, and show America -- AND America's elite liberal media -- that the citizens of our country SUPPORT this modern-day American hero.
And we're going to do it just like we did once before: we're going to take out a FULL PAGE AD in a NATIONAL NEWSPAPER, giving a strong statement of support for Secretary Rumsfeld and our troops, and listing many of the groups who are standing strong with us in this endeavor. NO ONE will be able to IGNORE us at that point, regardless of whether the liberal media tries to cover their eyes and ears. WE WILL BE SEEN AND HEARD!
BUT... the cost for this ad is very high: $73,100. And we can't afford to make this statement to the whole country without your help TODAY.
