Clark extends warm Ramadan wishes to American Muslims
It is on the front page of his site. www.clark04.com

"As we enter the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims are gathering to worship and commemorate the revelation of the Koran. My wife, Gert, and I extend our best wishes for prosperity and fulfillment during this month and throughout the coming year.

Muslims fast from dawn to dusk during Ramadan, to cultivate charity, self-discipline, and community spirit. These are qualities that we should all aspire to.

Our country's strength lies within its people, and I am thankful for the contributions of American Muslims to this great nation."

1. Classy as always
I'm sure the other candidates are slapping their foreheads and saying "Happy Ramadan! Now why didn't I think of that?" Clark is such a classy guy. I really hope he wins or, failing that, gets a talk show.

Governor Dean's Statement on Ramadan

Governor Dean issued the following statement earlier this week:

"As Muslims around the world commence with their most holy month, I would like to wish them a blessed Ramadan.

"Through the practice and reaffirmation of self-discipline, charity, compassion, and community, Muslims remind us all of the relationship between our highest aspirations and the commitments of our daily lives.

"We are also reminded of how much American Muslims add to the rich diversity of American life, faith, and culture.

"It is my hope that we will all be renewed by the devotion of the Muslim community in our commitment to the search for peace and justice throughout the world."

5. Good for both General Clark and Gov/Dr. Dean!
I'm so sick of the US successfully making
middle easterners the boogie men to keep
the sheeple afraid. I appreciate the respect
both of those Dems are showing. Same goes
for Whoopi in her casting of an Iranian character
on her new, excellent, hilarious, gutsy TV show
(not sure of the actor's nationality).

Let's insure that the GOP fascists fail to make us
hate anyone but them.
