Security scare driver identified! Did anyone see this?

SOUTHAVEN, Mississippi (CNN) -- A car rammed past a security perimeter Saturday and into a facility where President Bush had delivered a speech to campaign supporters just minutes earlier.

The female driver was identified by law enforcement agencies Saturday evening as 29-year-old Betina Mixon. She is being held on charges of trespassing and aggravated assault by the DeSoto County Sheriff's Department, Mississippi law enforcement sources said.

Amy Graves of Walls, Mississippi, told the DeSoto Times that Mixon "is the best person I know. She would do anything for anybody." She said Mixon is a nurse's aide and works with the elderly and handicapped. "I don't know what went wrong," Graves said.

Mixon, of Horn Lake, had no weapon, and there is no indication she meant to hurt anyone, an intelligence source told CNN.

<snip>

I found this story peculiar today. I felt and still feel like we are not hearing the whole story behind this woman and this incident. The article only states that she is a CNA and has three kids, that's it.

Do I need to put a Tin foil hat on for these thoughts? You be the judge. Is Betina Mixon a military wife? Did she lose a husband, Brother, Uncle, Sister etc. In Iraq? Is she in some way personally affected by the war in Iraq? Or did she just have a break down for no apparent reason?

There are a lot of loose ends on the "official story". I wonder if we will ever know the truth?

1. I am not assuming crap
it could, it couldn't. If Greg Pallast wants to do a story on it, let him be. But I think it was just a normal accident.

3. Perhaps it was.
But from the video that I saw today, she appeared to be very defiant when they attempted to apprehend and subdue her.

7. More than likely, she was in shock
And if you had a cop jump on you like they did, how would you react?
I doubt in that split second she even thought it was a cop and she was being attacked. The police could have handled that much better, but that is Miss. for you.

4. Do I need to put a Tin foil hat on for these thoughts?
Maybe.... or maybe she had a seizure while driving, which is somewhat common, and her possible seizure becomes newsworthy because George W Buch happened to be in the path of her car.

There aren't enough details at present to know what to make of what happened.

5. There are a million reasons one could lose control behind the wheel.
But it does not explain why there is no explanation yet. If she had a seijure they would of known by now, And she would not be arrested.

6. Someone at SC said
she was a Republican woman who got imaptient with the security hassles and decided to take a shortcut then 'freeped' out and drove her car into the building. Maybe she just couldn't wait another second to encounter her Personal Jesus? Or maybe that was a joke?

9. I have a friend who works with elderly poor in a social work situation.
She is very, very depressed about the benefits being taken away from the poor. Says that a woman who works and takes care of her elderly mother, has been able to put her mother in an elder daycare at government expense so she could work for their food and her own medicine for her heart ailment. When the daycare was shut down, she had to quit her job and stay home with her mother, now they are both going to die, starve, or become a burden on the taxpayers. These people in caretaker roles are all about to lose their minds with frustration. People call crying all day.

10. The Yahoo Headline said something like: SCREAMING WOMAN....
crashes into wall.....at bush event.

They emphasized that she was hysterical and that she was hysterical WHILE she crashed into the wall.

I took it that she reached the same wit's end as many folks fed up with the insanity - but happened to have bush in the vicinity.

12. How many personal protests were done during Vietnam?
That were never heard about, hush-hushed away. In the movie "path to war"(About the LBJ admin and Vietnam). There was a citizen who lit himself on fire in protest of the Vietnam war, he did it in front of Mcnamarra's window at his office.

This incident with this woman reminded me of that.

13. The AP wire...
last night quoted friends of the woman as saying her marriage was on the rocks, etc. and that she apparently just "snapped". IMO, everyone, whether they are aware of it or not, is stressed out with world events these days - the increasingly unavailable social programs designed to help folks through the bad times isn't helping any.

14. Google knows? Maybe, maybe not.
I did a quick google search. Couldn't find her directly, and only 14 refs with her first and last name showed up, only one with both in the same name.

http://www.abilitiesinmotion.org/newsletter.html

Her name seemed to be in the newsletter for this group, though it wasn't on the front page when I searched the site. Maybe she was mentioned in an earlier newsletter?

Quoth Google "... Jill A. Charleston Alice Dixon Sabrina Gomez. Michelle Levan Betina D. Mixon Felix D. O'Fray. Sharon L. Selig Linda Snyder Valerie Swartz. ... "
