This is a scary statement said by an Iraqi who refused to give his name.

This Iraq situation is going to hell, and if Bush and co. don't do something majorly different it will just get worse. It's time to set up a timetable for the Iraqi people to get their country back, and the sooner the better.

if the full force of the u.s. military, on loan to israel, cannot quell the intifada, who the hell thinks we can do any better in iraq??!! :argh:

2. What's saddening is that Uri Avnery virtually predicted this in

one of his columns (I can't find it right now). He told of (as a journo) following the Israelis going into the Lebanon who were being greeted as heroes. Then a few months later he met troops going home on leave to Israel and they were armored up and shaking. The Lebanese Arabs, once they realised the IDF were there as occupiers rather than liberators, had started killing them.
