Fallen soldiers’ will return in secret to avoid political embarrassment.
Edited on Sun Nov-02-03 10:49 AM by eyeontheprize
This story is a week or so old but it is worthy of repetition in light of today’s events. These slime bags are going to treat these men as if their loss is an embarrassment, they have no souls. They are as evil as we think they are.

Curtains Ordered for Media Coverage of Returning Coffins
By Dana Milbank
Tuesday, October 21, 2003

Since the end of the Vietnam War, presidents have worried that their military actions would lose support once the public glimpsed the remains of U.S. soldiers arriving at air bases in flag-draped caskets.

To this problem, the Bush administration has found a simple solution: It has ended the public dissemination of such images by banning news coverage and photography of dead soldiers' homecomings on all military bases.

3. How can they BAN news coverage?
And why haven't the networks gone to court over this? Wouldn't the first amendment sort of preclude this?

I miss America.

>_<

9. I think the democrats should be talking about it now being ILLEGAL
to photograph or provide news coverage of dead soldiers' homecomings.

I am shocked and awed at the evil duplicity of Bush and his administration.

4. I don't like this...
it's like saying that if the bodies are not shown being flown home then people won't think about soldiers being killed...

This is just another thumb in the nose by BushCo Inc...a thumb in the nose to all the families to these soldiers coming home...I think it's disgraceful to them and what they gave up for their country.

From what I understand he hasn't even gave condolences to the families...what an ass...an insensitive ass at that...

Edited on Sun Nov-02-03 11:09 AM by suegeo
The administration is not going to show the body bags returning because that would be gloating!

Remember, according to our glorious leader, the more people who get killed, the more progress and success we are having. And, since we don't want to gloat about our success, of course we have to hide the body bags.

It's all about being humble, get it?

7. And also...
This admin knows what is good for us(lowlife) to see. Don't you think we are better off looking at the king boarding his plane to oversee the world? Or the other photo ops ? I never can stomache to watch them. They are thinking about our mental well being.

11. That sign is Ying Yang
Symbol represents the ancient Chinese taoist philosophy of the interdependence of all things. The ying and the yang interact and complement each other.

24. This was mentioned

on both CNN and MSNBC today much to my surprise. Of course Wolf tried to pass it off as something that has been strictly enforced since 91 except for certain times such as Ronald Brown's plane crash. MSNBC was shockingly honest though and even questioned why chimpy hasn't been to any of the funerals. Threw me for a loop.

I think it's a shame that these men and women gave their lives for nothing more than lies and they aren't even respected enough by this administration to let us see them come home where should have been in the first place.
