MISSING:: The Grand Unified Theory:: Of Physics, Of Peace
Edited on Sun Nov-02-03 12:52 PM by opihimoimoi
How to reconcile the very small with the very large has eluded scientists for the past 100 years. Lately physicists have theorized the String Theory to explain the very very small. Smaller than neutrinos even. Truth, Charm, Strange, Up, Down, etc are names of quarks in the realm of Quantum Mechanics of which eludes most of us
including me. But they are on the trail and they smell success.

BUT, The here and NOW demands we look at the other equation, that of reconciling WAR and PEACE. Are we Humans so bright that we overlook the one thing determining our immediate future?? That thing which transcends cultures, tribes, and boundaries. Called Emotion, it explains why we do the things we do.

With that in mind, I suggest we look for ways to describe PEACE as exciting, rewarding, and the only option for long term comfort/safety/and security. For some weird reason, PEACE is almost a dirty word. We have a great need to change this, else our children will have a time of it for sure.

Come, we prepare the Big Luau, the Mother of all LUAUs. Fish and Poi for all.

:bounce: :smoke:  :bounce: :loveya:

1. We'll find the physical GUT
long before we ever locate a societal one

2. Perhaps if enough people pray for the Solution of the Equation
we might see a shift

3. I am afraid you are right wt
As Einstein once said: ""The unleashed power of the atom has changed everything save our modes of thinking, and we thus drift toward unparalleled catastrophes."

BTW, the term GUTs in physics refers to theories trying to unify three of the four forces of nature (the strong and weak nuclear and electromagnetic forces) which did not really pan out very well. The even more grandiose term TOEs (Theory of Everything) refers to string theory trying to unify all four forces (including gravity).

5. The problem is not so much finding a societal GUT...
as it is, in gaining a fair hearing for the powerful analyses that have already been advanced.

IOW: There are plenty of brilliant writings demonstrating how environmental destructiveness, & insane concentrations of wealth & power incompatible with social justice, follow directly from the nature of monopoly capitalism. But these types of critiques can never gain a fair hearing in our society -- precisely because those insane concentrations of wealth & power will always marginalize the hearing.

Thus, we are doomed to live in a system that predictably creates a certain type of misery. We are allowed to bemoan this misery. We are just not allowed to do anything about alleviating its real causes.

6. In a sense, we are doomed to live this miserable way only if we let
them(the Have's) dominate the rules.

We need to get excited about positive changes that would make this system look like kindergarden. It is coming and the Pub Pysops would stifle the outcome as much as possible.

The Masses need guidance and they not getting it from the Pubs, only exploitation. We need new and better systems that are dummy proof.

9. We are moving toward global peace.
Read the book: Non-Zero, The Logic of Human Destiny. It covers the scope of human history over the last 50K years. We are moving toward peace, and now we are at an accelrating pace.

1.) Democratizion brings peace. - In modern history, no two democracies have every gone to war against each other. Possible exception would be the American Civil War. In all other wars, at least one of the sides had a GENUINE dictator.

2.) International trade brings peace. - When there is a great deal of trade between nations they become too interdependent to have a war. Except for weapons companies, businesmen are usually anti-war as it disrupts trade.

That's why I don't worry about a war with China happening. They are increasing their trade and making money. North Korea on the other hand could erupt at any time.

10. But the Logic has yet to overtake Emotion. We are into what emotion
dictates: Excitement, adrenolin rushes, fear, passion, etc.

The greed from the PUBs have tarnished the excitement of Peace thru their pysops/brainwashing techniques.

11. The future war may not be between democracies...but between classes
within said democracy. When the rich create a plutocracy there will be an uprising...there are more of us than there are of them...what will happen then???? who knows???

Come, we send the Baskerville Hounds to look for Peace and Sanity. Last seen by the WalMart in Oroville
