Statement From General Clark Mourning the Latest Loss of American Lives in Iraq

"My wife, Gert, and I send our prayers and condolences to the families and friends of the American Soldiers killed in Iraq today. We hope that all our troops will be out of harm's way as soon as possible."

6. I predict they will wait ...
... until there is no chance Bush can say the downing of the helicopter was an accident. I give that about 70%. Other admin officials will (and have) made statements.

Bremer was particularly contorted today on CNN. He said something like "I offer my sincere condolences to the families of those we lost in today's ... (long pause) ... (more pause)... events in our ongoing efforts in Iraq."
