Clark, Dean in statistical tie in Michigan poll...
Edited on Sun Nov-02-03 02:48 PM by wyldwolf
Clark edges Dean by 1% - dead heat.

According to the EPIC/MRA firm, 47 percent of registered Michigan voters said Bush is doing a good or excellent job; 52 percent described his performance as fair or poor.

Only 33 percent said they plan to vote for Bush, while 34 percent want him replaced; the rest are willing to consider another candidate. The poll had an error margin of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

Then again, in theoretical match–ups for Michigan's 17 electoral votes, Bush leads Democratic challengers Howard Dean (46 percent to 36 percent) and Wesley Clark (45–36).

1. Those head to head match ups will be better once the nominee is chosen.

2. I'd agree that Clark-Dean is close here
I'd disagree that Bush is ahead of the Dems for our hearts and minds.
I say Bush will lose easily here (he couldn't even carry the MI R primary in 2000, in spite of John "Governor Potatohead" Engler sucking up to him. Additionally, Gore carried MI in the general election -- and the only things that have changed here since then work to Dopey's disadvantage).
John
Has handicapped lots of MI races and is pretty good at it. Michigan will be a blue state.

4. Interesting interpretation
Bush statistically beeating Dean and clark by the same dead heat amount being interpreted positively is a most interesting take.

5. I am Confused
Which one was fired as the Commander of NATO?
Which one is hated by most of the Military?
Which one is a Metrosexual?
Which one hates Bush more?
Which one is smarter?
Which one supports the NRA?
Which one likes the Confederate Flag?
Which one is best at waffling?
Which one will lose by the biggest margin?

Pick em. Either one is a loser.

8. I am going to frame this gently
I hope Clark wins if the race is between Dean and him for first in Michigan.
