Zell
Ok, I'm this close >I< to throwing something at the TV. Zell is on and he is telling everyone how concerned he is for the Democratic Party. His endorsement of Bush is a way of throwing us a life preserver. Does anyone feel as nauseated as I do right now. This blowhard is some piece of work.

The only thing worse than a neo-con is one in Demo clothing.

He's a TRAITOR telling LIES and SLANDER.

Now excuse me while I go outside so my head can explode...

1. The Republicans felt the same way
when Jeffords switched sides.

Zell Miller reminded me of Ross Perot for some reason this morning. He seems kooky, not nauseating.

13. I love the contrast between Jeffords and Zell..
One is truly a free thinker, the other is in lockstep with shrub's mantra. One backed shrub in 2000, and after learning from his mistake is now backing Dean. The other supported Clinton and Gore, and now learning from his mistake..puts himself before all others!

One fought preserve IDEA funding for disabled children, while the other sought to slash the primary federal program that helps kids with special education needs. One claims to be an independent-minded fellow, the other is an independent.

2. He is a puke
Saw him this morning. Horrible beyond belief. Blames the Dems for losing the South after 1960. Ever hear of the civil rights movement, Zell? Not much else to say; he says it for himself. Just human garbage, and I apologize to humans everywhere.

3. I wish the DNC would come out and defrock him
Or whatever it is they could do to tell him to go to hell and get out of the party.

It's not like he votes with the Dems. Why does he keep the label?

Every Dem in the Senate and House should come out and make it clear that Zell is nuts and doesn't speak for any Dem.

I don't think he helps anyone. Especially himself.

6. I keep wondering which Dem thwarted him when he came
to Washington. He is so bitter and I think it is personal. His comments about Clark were just snide. There must be some reason behind all this.

7. Watching a repeat of "Meet the Press," kyrasdad?
Thanks for not telling me he's on TV right now.

It took every ounce of restraint in my body to keep me from hurling the coffee pot at his face this morning. Honestly, the only thing that stopped me was my fear of waking the peaceful, sleeping pupper-doggies.

:-)

Good luck enduring him,
Jennifer

9. My E-mail
Dear Zell:

Congratulations on being named one of the Top Ten Conservative Idiots (#3) this week at the Democratic Underground web site. Not many Democrats manage to reach that level of idiocy but you have. I hope you are comforted by all the adulation from the conservative assholes like Hannity, Rush, Ann Coulter and O'reilly. Please join the Repukes that you love so much soon and endorse Shrub. You have soiled the party. Please be gone.

11. Do we even censure them?
Can any sort of punishment be handed down to Zell, however meaningless?

Choosing to support the Presidential opposition in an election cycle is unforgivable, to me. Something, anything, must be done...

12. If they did, they'd be busy excommunicating members day & night.
I agree they should do it. When they've kicked out about 80% of themselves, perhaps most of their problem would be solved.

14. Odd that DU tries to heal north vs south and Zell rips it
I really wonder just what the hell he thought he was doing. It clearly had nothing to do with throwing the party a life belt.

We chastise Duers regularly about beating up on the party and then the professional politicians get right out on television and tear the candidates into shreds.

Damn you Zell. I hope that the party takes away your soap box.

16. Zell is still living in the past...
This is why Howard Dean's remarks reminded him of Mike Dukakis...because in his warped mind Dukakis is still the party's greatest threat!

If Howard Dean was not reaching out to southern whites on the gun issue, and by pointing out that their problems are our problems...Zell would have ripped Dean for not reaching out to southern whites!

In this case it's a no-win...or an all-win situation, depending on your perspective.
