2. Yeah, its called "principles", should look into it.
When someone does something stupid or intellectually and morally dishonest, we call them on it. Be they conservative, liberal, Republican or Democrat. Its something called being principled.

Or maybe I take the Tom Murphy view of Democratic politics "Every honor I've had has been through the Democrats, and I'm not going to knife them in the back," he said.
