Went to Support the Gene Robinson Consecration today

Got to see the Fred Phelps clan. If these jokers ever come to your town, I heartily recommend going to see the spectacle. These guys are absolutely outrageous and worth a few good laughs.



The good news is that while Phelps had about a dozen strong in his clan (yet of course they will get all the media attention and the supporters won't), hundreds showed up in support. The procession of people heading into the event seemed so relieved when they saw all of the supporters. Their faces just lit up as they walked by and many went up and thanked us for showing up in support. They pretty much could ignore Phelps's loonies.

The worst signs by Phelps though were the ones of stick figures engaing in Sodomy and the words "Fag Church".
