We must not really even NEED a president..
Edited on Mon Nov-03-03 11:27 AM by SoCalDem
Can anyone tell me what exactly * has done for the last 3 years except for his perpetual campaigning hand-out tour, and the months of vacationing at Camp David, or Crawford??

Sure, he stumbles through a few speeches here and there, but what else has he done that is even remotely presidential??

He travels on our dime and runs up costs for "protection" everywhere he goes, but what do WE get out of his travels??

When Clinton was in office, I remember reading about every time he traveled and how wasteful it was.. He burned the midnight oil every day and no one could say that he did not know everything that was going on..He made it a duty to read everything about an issue, and I doubt that he took anyone's word, as gospel..

He does not attend the funerals of the young people he is getting killed..

He does not hold regular "real" press conferences..

He does not read newspapers..(He probably does watch Faux)

He does not meet with "all" of congress (just the republicans)

He rarely entertains dignitaries at the White house ..

Why are we paying this schlub $400K a year??

3. he's the monkey in the bubble
its been set up so he never gets anything from the outside world, because if someone just said "you suck", he'd break down and cry like a 3 year old, he cant even stick to the script thats handed to him, think about it, even tho he can sound atleast somewhat cogneseant, he's snorted his mind back to first grade

2. So? Look at how much...
Brush he's cleared at his Crawford pig ranch! Maybe if Clinton had done that in California you wouldn't have had the fires!
You're like s o o o o ungrateful!

4. In the words of Douglas Adams
from "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe":

The major problem - one of the major problems, for there are several - one of the many major problems with governing people is that of who you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get poeple to let them do it to them.
To summarize: it is a well known fact, that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job. To summarize the summary of the summary: people are a problem.
And so this is the situation we find: a succession of Galactic Presidents who so much enjoy the fun and palaver of being in power that they very rarely notice that they're not.
And somewhere in the shadows behind them - who?

5. He's making double what Clinton was, too
Clinton was making $200K/year.
Bush is now making $400K/year.

Bush is not worth it. For the damage he's cause, and the graft that he and his cronies are making off of that damage, Bush should be paying us to be president.
