Should comments about Dubya's "great leadership" go unchallenged?
Bill Press, who is one of the best spokesman for liberal causes, let Governor Pataki commend Bush a couple of times for his "great leadership". Perhaps it is just me, but I see no leadership from George W Bush. I see a disaster in everything he has touched.

No doubt there are people out there that believe he exhibited great leadership in the Iraqi War but unless we challenge those assertions, they might believe that the entire country believes it. So, Governor Pataki, you can talk about Bush's great leadership but many of us think he is a dip shit that is getting our troops killed daily and sent them into Iraq on false premises and lies. We still haven't seen any prove to change our beleifs...

1. Hell No it shouldn't "go unchallenged"!
pataki is a crook and a slug! of course, he would say anything to lap up to the bushmurderinc.

But you know what? When bush loses in 2004..there will be pataki holding the bush bag.

3. Bush IS a great leader !
Unfortunately he's leading us in exactly the WRONG direction.

I think you have to admit that over the past four years he has said and done things noone ever thought a politician would dare. He's taken controversial positions and seen public opinion fall in line behind him.

My take is that he's the first politician to realize that he CAN GET AWAY WITH DAMN NEAR ANYTHING. Sadly, he's been the first president to understand how apathetic, uninformed, and malleable the general public really is. And that the major media can be bent to his will under most circumstances. And he's the first one to actually go for it.

In my mind this is what makes him the most dangerous leader we've ever had.

I wish to God that he were a poor leader.

8. Tweety said it emphatically during his Gephardt interview
Noone is suggesting that Bush was anything but a great manager and businessman, running the baseball team blah blah . . .

or words to that effect.

5. This may seem simplistic...
but I have found, that when people talk about bush's "great leadership", I chuckle, and occasionally outright laugh. What comes of this, is very interesting. Most people that will defend bush are willing to do it at an argumentive level, but if you laugh, their case just disappears! They don't know how to react!

So....wherever I am, or whenever I hear, some idiot talk about bush's "leadership", I just laugh and shake my head. He becomes the butt of jokes, and the moran that thought bush was a "great leader", slinks away.

I have yet to fail in this approach, and using humor beats the tar out of arguing in public.

7. It's not that Bush is a great leader...
it's that we have a nation full of dumbass citizens who would follow a pile of dog sh*t if it told them what they wanted to hear. Bush has it down to an art: use the most simplistic and mindbogglingly, mindnumbingly stupid phrases that serve to stroke the ego (i.e.; "Americans are good fighting against evil in the world") and the sheeple will bite. Then continue to repeat this jingoistic crap over and over again, and before long, it's "Heil!". Hitler would have the gas chambers up and running again in a matter of days if he had this feeble-minded bunch to work with. Oh how did we become so utterly stupid?
