For Those Who Were Wondering: Clark Has BIG Fundraising
You can believe me, or you can choose not to believe me, I really don't care. It's no skin off of my nose either way.

But if Clark beats Dean in Q4, how is that going to sell with the media? How is that going to sell with Democrats?

1. Well, what are his numbers
Honestly, I really don't care if he holds big fundraisers or not. Most of his support will be from liberal leaning groups anyway.

5. Yes
At first I was like, "what the hell did he just say?" Then I remembered it was a Rock the Vote ad. It's funny as hell.

6. He has a local one going in two weeks for
1k a pop, I just found out, as well as several other smaller dollar ones, all coming up in a week and a half here. I know there was a mini-fund drive on Friday, and he raised about $360,000 in maybe 10 hours.

10. I Also Hear He Did Great Online the Other Day
Some Dean supporters were making fun because he only set a $10,000 goal online.

Let's just say he made a LOT more than that. The technology just didn't allow an accurate reading. That will change in a couple of weeks.

11. I have no doubt he'll take in a lot this quarter
I think the real questions will be how much of it he has to spend during the quarter setting up the organization (plus regular expenses), and how much cash on hand he's got heading into the primaries.

I would say he probably needs to raise $20 million this quarter… and I have no doubt he will.

but I think Dean will once again outraise everyone. he does just as many high $ & medium $ events as Clark is doing.

it's the 200,000+ small donors that make the difference.

12. You're a Good Man, Pruner
But I honestly want to know...on what basis do you make the claim that Dean does just as many medium-high fundraisers as Clark?

Thanks!

15. I'm personally familiar with Dean's fundraising activities…
Edited on Tue Nov-04-03 01:01 AM by pruner
and for the most part, both Dean & Clark's fundraising is well-covered in the press… if you look for that info.

I have both of these links bookmarked & check them often. I'm a (political) news junkie so I read pretty much every article that comes up.

17. Really, if that's a possibility
it would give back all that Clark has lost thus far with the campaign organization issues. It would also mean that theres a TON of money out there for the dem candidate who can articulate a message that resonates.

While I have my doubts Clark can do this, the ramifications of this for the democratic party in general are just HUGE! It means that for SURE we could raise as much money as the whore squad at republican central, and that would be just awesoome.

If Clark pulls this off, we ALL benefit.
