Poll question: Why do people get mugged?
Edited on Tue Nov-04-03 01:18 AM by Wonk
This is intended more as a starting point for a discussion about muggings in general than any kind of bash at Carlos in particular. I hope the cops manage to quickly bust the scum who held him up at gun point and recover his wallet and ID for him. I also hope Carlos is able to deal with this life episode without experiencing any long term PTSD symptoms.

1. Because...
...they dress sexy and they're asking for it, of course!

Later.

4. Muggers are ever on the lookout for a target or "mark". Predators in
the animal kingdom use the same tactics.

6. A combination of #1 and #3
It is somewhat random, like a lightning strike.

But keeping your eyes downcast and your shoulders slumped is like wearing a foil helmet in a thunderstorm.

Combination of factors.

7. Locking.

It is against DU rules to "call out" another
poster.

Thanks,
