I'm more pessimistic than not. I think the war is way out of control and there's no end in sight. I think the Republicans have a lock on the electoral system and make it bend to their will. I think we're in the midst of a phony economic boom that will not create jobs but that will fool enough idiots into voting for Bush to disguise another major rip-off of an "election."

What were the good signs?
