The look on Jessica Lynch's face is the same one... |
|
that I have whenever I have to see Bush talk. I can see the same fire in her eyes that I have, and I can see her thinking "I see through every one of you fucking jackals, and if I get half a chance I will take you all down with my little hero story".
I have a really good feeling that she's not going to let herself be made a political tool. I mean, the only political figure there was her Dem Governor, and I guarantee you Bush and his team were salivating at the chance for a photo-op with her. She's not playing ball with them anymore than she has to.

The repukes will use her up and spit her out.
I noticed she thanked her Iraqi captors who helped save her life.
She knows what went on better than anyone. She was there. That's why she had "amnesia" according to the WH.
Guess she'll bide her time until she's out of the military and then let them have it.

2. What's a 12 year gag order? |
|
I have this sort of vague idea that it prevents people in the military from talking about certain things for 12 years. Am I nuts?

3. Bush left out of thank you's |
|
It was noticeable to me that she did not thank the Bushista crowd at all. I hope she tells the Diane Sawyers and Baba Walters type crowd sucking up for an interview to fuck off too.

8. She was really banged up |
|
The crash she was in killed everybody else in the vehicle. It was a 50 (or so) MPH rear end into a large truck. JL was in the middle of the back seat.
Still, she broke many many bones and needed a long time to mend.

5. She may turn out to be a true hero after all |

If that little girl can resist the power of the spin machine - she'll be my hero!

6. I don't know. I thought she seemed so young... |

like a scared girl caught in the spotlight. Very soft and vulnerable, not a soldier at all. She sounded like just a high school student.
I felt sorry for her.

10. Yeah, she was made to thank folks for freeing her from "captivity" |
|
...captivity in the hospital where they were taking good care of her.
