I know Robert Byrd was there. Where in the hell were the other Democrats? I want to know. I particularly want to know if my Senators Murray and Cantwell were there or not.

I think we should all write, call, or email our Senators and raise hell about this vote. They should have stopped it! And if you live in W. Virginia, call your Senator Byrd to thank him for his brave dissenting vote.

Yes. I am still pissed off about this!

1. Umm didn't you see the numbers on the original vote?
We lost. By a large margin. Do we really need our Senators to spend their time on lost causes?

If you want to write or call your Senators I would ask you, instead of getting mad at them about a battle we already lost, to please urge them to vote NO on the energy bill, HR 6, which I thinks is still in conference but will be on the Senate floor soon.

The toll-free number for Congress is 1-800-839-5276. Just ask to be transferred to your Senator's office.

2. That sounds pretty defeatist.

Apart from the Energy Bill I mean. They better not support that. We cannot stand aside and let things happen anymore! Geez this irks me to no end!!! This is a very critical time in the country and I fear that the more Democrats shrug their shoulders and let things happen the worse the country will become.

3. Frankly I write off the Sen. who are running in our party.
If we made the mess we could stop it by not giving them money and the troops would be brought home. They would have to be. This is a 87B for Bush election.
