"It's very easy to use," Jones-Matthews said. "All you do is touch the screen."

While county officials have been planning for months, any system could have glitches, according to Jones-Matthews.

"I've thought about that for the past eight years," she said. "We've used a tried-and-true system, and I've thought about that every time. On election day, you don't know what can happen. Anything can happen.

"I think we're prepared. We've planned, and I think that's the key."
