Election day around the office - and it's pathetic!
I don't know what it may be like around your place of employment, but around this highly conservative, Repuke-based business, (who take pride in saying that we can't put "Peace" on our XMAS cards) it's politics as usual. It's the over zealous repukes taking hold of the uninformed, barely ever voted crowd, dispensing their brand of fire and brimstone scare tactics.

There I am (and mind you only 1 out of 3 Dems in the entire office) causally heating up my breakfast when I am subjected to the crap coming out of the mouths of these dittoheads. Here's a sample of what this one guy was preaching to the unsuspecting: "The only difference between Republicans and Democrats is that we republicans are for smaller government, democrats are not.". Here's another gem: "Democrats want to raise your taxes, republicans do not". And let's not forget this: "Democrats want to kill unborn babies". And that's only a sample. OMG, I cringe when I think about the small minds of some of the people I work with here. I've stopped trying to have legitimate, intelligent on-point, factual political speak with these morons - they simply don't get it and never will. I've resorted to just shaking my head in disbelief these days around here.

BTW...these are the same people that resort to removing the batteries from the TV remote in the employee lounge so that people like me can't change the channel from Faux News! I guess they don't realize their own stupidity - - batteries are readily available in the stock of office supplies. And yes, I replace the batteries and change the channel on an ongoing basis!

Good luck to one on all in your local and state elections today.

1. Heh - one-up the Fox TV dipshits
See if you can lock out Fox with a "parental password". Some TVs from a few years ago have this capability, maybe your company's does too. Then sit back and watch the fun!

2. Fire Back
With guns a-blazing. Now is not the time for timidity. Surely you've picked up a couple of good arguments from DU. Step right in to the fray, interrupt, start with, "The future of this country is too important for me not to speak," then let them have it. Make your case for the dems. Just do it!

3. Government Was Bigger Under Both Bushes
It's a fact. And Bush may want to cut taxes (a penny for you, a quarter for them), but take a look at your property taxes. Something's got to give.

5. Maybe you can reprogram the tv to erase the FOX channel
I love that feature when I'm flipping the remote through the channels. Now FOX News, Benny Hinn, QVC - it's like they don't even exist.
