Students, ISP Sue Diebold - BBV

The campaign against Diebold that began as electronic civil disobedience took an exciting turn today as the EFF announced that they were filing suit against Diebold for abuse of copyright claims.

Lots of links in the article.

1. Hehehe....I love this:
"Diebold refused to discuss the documents’ contents. Company spokesman Mike Jacobsen said the fact that the company sent the cease-and-desist letters does not mean the documents are authentic — or give credence to advocates who claim lax Diebold security could allow hackers to rig machines.
“We’re cautioning anyone from drawing wrong or incomplete conclusions about any of those documents or files purporting to be authentic,” Jacobsen said."

4. The drip is finally
becoming a stream. Now is the time to increase the pressure and demand voter verifiable paper ballots.
If you have been following the electronic voting issue, but have not been active, please, now is the time to jump in. Write, e-mail, call your local paper, BOE, county supervisor, state rep, SOS, etc. Tell them we will not give up until we have a voting system we can trust and that means a paper ballot.

:argh:
