Eliot Spitzer for U.S. Attorney General |
|
Where the hell is Ashcroft??? Eliot Spitzer has been busting more coporate balls than Ashcroft has had cocktails. When it comes to policing our financial institutions Ashcroft is a joke. But you can rest tonight knowing that Tommy Chong is in jail.

The next DEMOCRATIC president, who will be elected one year from today, should name Eliot Spitzer for Attorney General!

If Edwards isn't on the ticket, I think he should be AG. Spitzer has gotten some good support for his stance against corporate fraud, but part of that was a bandwagon effect anyway. It was popular to do what he did after Enron. I would have been more impressed if he had done that before Enron.
Second, Spitzer caved in the Microsoft Anti-trust case. He joined some of the other states that decided to go for a settlement instead of standing firm with the other states that rejected a settlement and went the distance.

THEY are supposed to regulate before corruption takes place.

and I applaud him for his work. I'm not saying that the bandwagon effect in anyway negates the good he's doing. But I don't want someone who caved to Microsoft to be AG.
The Microsoft anti-trust case was a big deal during the Clinton Era, and Bush and Ashcroft abandoned it to neglect, forcing the states to hold firm. Spitzer didn't go the distance. The measure of a person is what they do when the right thing is not popular, not when it is.

4. Eliot is my man! I'm fairly certain he's AG in 2004. |

There's no one better.
As you said, he's making Ashcroft look like a lame duck in there. Doing a great job. Definitely, definitely any Dem's #1 choice.

He's doing what the SEC should be doing but won't because of the rampant corruption in the Ashcrack Justice Department and the Smirk Administration

9. Spitzer has been going after corporate crooks like it's going out of style |
|
Kudos to him, he'd make a great Attorney General, or President for that matter!
