His job is to hug those who've lost their possessions and boost their spirits!

With Bush and his thugs, though, I have learned, much to my sorrow, that my hatred and contempt for them seems to be infinite.

8. Same thing he said about families of dead soldiers - pre-war |
|
That he would be the one who would have to "hug the families."

9. I can't tell if he's cognitively impaired or a psychopath or both. |
|
He says he cares, but with such hollow tone... I don't believe him. Is he actually psychopathic? Is he demonstrably mentally ill?

but rather than a psychopath, I believe him to be a sociopath. He is devoid of real human feelings but has learned to mimic expressions of human emotion. Like most sociopaths, he occasionally displays an inappropriate face for the situation at hand, which has led to some truly startling images. I believe "the smirk" manifests itself when he is conflicted as to which emotion he should be pretending to feel.

15. he couldn't hug if his life depended on it ... |
|
I watched that cursory little grapple he performed on that Californian who'd lost her house. It was a quick flex of his arms, and he leaned away right afterwards, as if it were something disagreeable. Remember his behaviour at Annapolis when that sailor impulsively embraced him? If it were possible for someone to go stiff and limp at the same time, * did just that. Every fibre of his body seemed to say "Get off me, peasant!" (I hope this wasn't because the sailor was black.) He is NOT a born hugger -- he seems to go through a little calculation of whether or not it will benefit him (is the camera on?). Unlike Clinton, who would just wade into a crowd and start hugging people. Even the supposedly-wooden Al Gore is a better spontaneous hugger than Bush -- I heard stories of him at the Earth Summit, etc., back before anyone thought he'd be VP.
Bush looks like he'd rather give out autographs than hugs. He only seems to like touching people when he's trying to show power over them (rub hair, headlock, etc.)
