Election Day Coux... My Mom WILL NOT vote for Shrub |
|
Yes, it's true. My Mom, Mrs. Right Wing, Anti-Abortion, Pro NRA, has decided, that I was right. Bush IS an idiot, and a dangerous one at that.
What put her over the edge was his banning of photographing the returning military people who died. She lost someone close to her in Viet-Nam, and she just blew a lid when Bush said no to coffins. She said "there is nothing more disrespectful than denying a dead soldier and his family the honor of the public being able to see him return to his country after giving his life for it."
She said she will not vote for Bush next year, but didn't mention if she'd vote for a Democrat though... but at least she's seen through the facade...

Good for her. Ask her to tell her conservative friends.

Classic wignut with gay friends, a wierd liberal church that does not invoke Jesus, pro-choice, various other liberal ideas-- and a staunchly Republican husband. Would not vote for Clinton. Voted for *. Will not vote for * this time, but will not commit to vote for a Dem either. Says she's now a Libertarian despite the fact that she advocates tons of new programs and can't single out one current one that she's against.
My mom also has some bullshit anti-democrat bias. I got her to vote for Clinton, but she wouldn't vote for Gore-- so she voted for Nader. She will NOT vote for Bush, of her own volition.
