The question that MUST be asked during the Democratic debates... |
|
Yeah it's below the belt, it's a question that'll be tough to maneuver around without infuriating conservatives, but it would be a jawdropper that will drive home how * was not heroic in his response to 9.11:
(Senator/Governor/etc.) (Candidate Name), let me present you a hypothetical situation. You are on the road as President on a photo-op at a Florida grade school to meet with children, and heaven forbid a terror attack occurs in America while you are reading a book about goats to the children. After you are informed by your Chief of Staff that America is under attack, do you continue to read the book about goats just in case the children might become scared by your premature departure, or do you quickly exit the school to a secure location that doesn't endanger those children and oversee an immediate response as Commander in Chief?

2. The subject matter of the book being read isn't relevant to the question |

Well, there was an alternative to "or do you quickly ..... oversee an immediate response as Commander in Chief?" The alternative seems to have been that you get your chicken shit butt into AF-1 and high tail it for the dead ass middle of the contry. Cowardice, no more and not one god damned thing less, that is what we got from that @#$%%^%#@$$%#!#$@#.

we'll stop discussing Bush's actions on 9/11/2001 as soon as the Bush regime stops using 9/11 as support for their misguided policies
or, how about we stop discussing Bush and 9/11 as soon as we're done with this purty little war he started (because of 9/11, of course.)
get a grip!

but other than obscure websites that have no "reach" within the general public, the consensus within "the mainstream media" is that for whatever faults Bush, had, his reaction to 9.11 was heroic. They'll attack him on Bush, tax cuts for rich, patriot act, or the economy, but won't touch his reponse on the day of the attacks and will always "praise his leadership during september 11th".

i often wonder how much history is based in small mistruths or what textbooks in 100 years will say about today... but i shudder to think about it. ever since i found out that the writers of our history text books accepted big buisness contributions in exchange for omitting some materials i have been highly doubtful of all the 'history' ive learned in government funded schools. woah, im off topic

The only politician on this planet that showed anything remotely like leadership on 9/11 was Guiliani (sp?). Remember, that worthless piece of @#$% Bush could not be found until roughly 9:00 PM on 9/11. So someone explain to me what leadership was being shown? I disliked that worthless piece of @#$%^ before 9/11, on that day I came to despise him.

10. The candidates need to raise these questions |
|
Why has the Pentagon banned/censored photos of coffins and body bags of US soldiers leaving Iraq or arriving in the United States?
Why hasn't President Bush attended funerals or memorials for the soldiers who have lost their lives in Iraq?
Is it because Bush wants to hide from the public the reality that the war is going badly? Just like Bush is trying to cover-up the facts of 9/11 by refusing to cooperate with investigators and handover documents they were forced to subpoena from the WH?

I posted on another thread that no one has responded to yet so I ask here. Hasnt this 'policy' been in place long before Bush was selected?

16. The policy went into effect in 1991. It was done so that |
|
the privacy of grieving families and friends would be protected. However it was not strictly enforced. Clinton was filmed at a base where bodybags were being unloaded.

11. I emailed a question about... |
|
..how the candidates will deal with neo-conservative policymakers such as the AEI and PNAC.
Hopefully CNN has the balls to ask such a question.
