2. kind of a trick question
which 'reality' are they talking about?

The real 'reality', or the one the Bushies want us to see?

3. What is the point in voting on this one?
The question is garbage.

The FReepers are going to vote "no" on this anyway. They are pissed because the media runs stories on things as trivial as 15 American troops dying in an attack. They want the media to spend more time talking about all of the good things that are going on there (somewhere, maybe) and not waste time talking about deaths and how we haven't found WMD or Saddam...

So, FReepers will be disappointed with the media until it becomes officially GOP propaganda.

10. Stupid Question of the Day
What does Freepers mean... I assume Republicans but what's the official DU meaning for it... While we're at it someone let me know what the BFEE is too. :)

13. Freeper
www.freerepublic.com

Right wing website, essentially it is DU's ugly, retarded, inbred third cousin.

The people who post there call themselves "Freepers".

Here, it means anyone with a really skewed, farther right-wing than Bush, conservative view.
You know the type. People who are pissed that Bush acknowledged Ramadan. People that, despite being so happy to liberate the Iraqi people, now just want to nuke all of them and be done with it, so they can move on to lynching muslims, homosexuals, and other minorities.

BFEE is Bush Family Evil Empire. It goes all the way back to WWI, when Bush's great-great grandfather helped make the family fortune by selling weapons to both sides. It continued with his grandfather, who sold German War Bonds in the United States as late as 1942.

14. Freeper = member of Free Republic.com
And it's their own name which they gave themselves. Free Republic is a right wing extremist board. They're the ones who had the "Pro War" rallies in Washington DC where 12 "proud patriots" showed up to bash Clinton and sing Lee Greenwood songs.

"Do you think the media is failing you in its responsibility to keep you informed of the realities in Iraq?"

Currently 37% Yes. Needs our help. The DUmmies are on it.

--------

Duly FReeped.

At this hour - 75% Yes.

They only had Yes and No buttons - if they'd had it, my vote would've been "NO SH!T SHERLOCK!"

17. they don't have much to do with their time
My site (see below) got 6000 hits in a single day once it was mentioned on the freeper board. And about 20 merchants that had been listed on the site pulled out.

I figure for the time they spent sending emails and calling folks, the site was worth the effort, even if nobody ever buys anything from it.
