44% say they'll vote against Bush...
If only the election were today...

44% say they’ll vote against Bush

New poll finds only 38% support president’s re-election

ASSOCIATED PRESS

ALBANY, N.Y., Nov. 4 — More than four in 10 voters nationwide say they definitely plan to vote against President Bush next year — more than plan to vote for him, according to a poll released Tuesday.

1. Please don't use the word "re-election" without adding "(sic)"
That is, if you're quoting someone. Otherwise, if you're speaking ad lib, we ought to refer to him running for election in 2004. The occupier of the Oval Office was not elected in 2000.

We must stay on point, just as the Republicannibals do.

Thanks!

2. People saying they're going to vote against Bush are hard numbers
and very unlikely to change their minds. (Hence the GOP memo last week or so saying next year will be a close election.)

And, BTW, the correct term for next year is "election" unless it's in the title of an LBN article then using "(re-)" is acceptable.

7. That's what I was referring to, a direct quotation
Use the word "sic" in parenthesis following a misquote, because it means that the quoted material is inaccurate and you know that it is inaccurate and you are pointing it out to the reader.

I do not understand how you perceived my post as a rant. It wasn't. bush was not elected. Any time we have a chance to refute that, it means we're not agreeing with them on that point.

who either do not know enough to decide now, or don't care. THEY are the ones we must worry about.
