The voter turnout was pathetic (27.1%), but Democrats won every election there with the exception of Comm. of Agriculture.
Chandler beat Fletcher 53.8% to 46.2% in my county.

As a small consolation, I report that someone special we both know and love voted (absentee) straight Dem ticket. Just thought you'd like to know. As for excuses for the small turnout, I'm at a loss. I suspect, as with others in other places, our people just don't realize that their vote makes a difference. I'm terribly downcast over the turnout, but it's been coming for a while. ...O..
