Post things that make Lieberman better than Bush...
Now I'm no fan of Lieberman and will admit that he spends far too much time and energy fellating Bush, but let's say some good things about him...

Like his civil rights record or his pro-choice position.

2. Liberman is my #9 candidate
But I find it rather disgusting that people try to bastardize him as a phony dem. He's pro-choice, pro-environment, pro-civil rights, etc., etc. He is a hawk. That is bad. That doesn't make him a Republican.

That's about all I can say. I have been pretty disappointed in Holy Joe for quite some time now.

8. He disagrees with Bush on 95% of the issues
and on the remaining 5%, their approaches would still be different.

All this talk of Lieberman "fellating" Bush sounds to me like the mindless ranting of an intellectually hollow left-wing that is deseparate for legitimacy but entirely clueless about how to achieve it.

9. Lieberman is immeasurably better than GW Bush
He has a solid record of support on reproductive rights for women, he has a strong civil rights record, he has a excellent environmental record. He is much more inclusive than Bush could ever be in regards to gays and lesbians and people of color. Personally, he is known as someone who has a very good sence of humor something that Bush seems to lack.

10. He's not crazy
... and

He does not believe in endless deficits
He's belives faith in public life, but does not believe in theocracy
He's not an idiot
He believes in the New Deal and the Great Society
He is a hawk, but not contemptuous of alliances
He's pretty pro-environment
He has a pretty good Civil Rights and GLBT record
He's not totally corrupt to the core: you'd probably see a better bidding contract in Iraq
He has a pretty good liberal voting record
He ACTS like a right-winger, but execpt for a few visible issues, he is centrist or liberal; Bush is almost the opposite--acts moderate, but is an extremist
He would not appoint crazy ideologues to the bench. He'd probably have good choices

Do you need more? There's a world of difference. I could live in Lieberman's America quite happily. Bush is turning America into something else.
