New York City Overwhelmingly Rejects Effort to End Party Primaries
71% Against!

Best quote: 'John Gorman, 34, a Democrat who lives in Kensington, Brooklyn, voted against the measure. "I think it's a weird Republican trick," he said.'

1. Is it me, or...
...does "I think it's a weird Republican trick" need to become a DU cliche? I'm for it! :)

Later.

6. I'm with you...
it's perfect and I can hardly wait to use it. But do it quick before they steal it. That's, of course, another weird Republican trick!

4. Congratulations! Good feeling, eh?
I encouraged someone to give me a ride to go vote after work who wouldn't have otherwise and we both felt very good afterwards.

8. I am so happy about this.
I argued with the main proponent of this a couple weeks ago. He said he was a dem. His proposal was lame and he could not back up his arguments. This was a threat to our voting system and thankfully it failed.
