16. Dean said today that he would pick someone with military/nat sec.
experience, which rules out everyone running but Kerry and Clark. Outside the candidates, I'm not sure who he'd pick. Willam Cohen?

9. Dean & Sharpton hand in hand after the debates

"Democratic presidential hopeful former Gov. Howard Dean (news - web sites) of Vermont, left, clasps hands with Rev. Al Sharpton of New York, right, moments after the televised Rock the Vote Democratic presidential debate at Boston's Faneuil Hall, Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003. The two hopefuls had a heated exchanged during the debate concerning voters who display the Confederate flag."(AP Photo/Michael Dwyer, Pool)

Dean and Sharpton can get along. We get it. I'll be dreaming about this picture at night. I'll wake up semi-aroused and still vote for Kerry.

What a terrible picture.

It looks like Dean is trying to pick a fight like some petty bully. I know he has a temper, but if he can't take a little criticism he might as well drop out of the race.

He's dead in the South.
Well... he wasn't doing great down here before.
Now, I think I saw him sinking in a swamp in Louisiana or Savannah, Ga. Not sure... it might have been the Church Lady.

17. No way in hell
The Constitution says a Pres can't be Vice-Pres as well.

Of course, the Constitution also says that only the Congress can declare war, and that didn't stop some candidates......

21. Never was
from small blue state in very blue region.

No Washington experience. Only reason I could think to bring him aboard would be to reach out to NRA type White moderate to conservative voters, and a southerner or border state guy would do that better.

Plus he's been apt to say an off thing now and again, and no candidate wants to spend the campaign explaining what his V candidate meant.

22. The Dean people better be rewarded, or it's going to hurt us a lot
While I dislike Dean personally, the Dean campaign is by the far the best organized and the most grassroots - even if those grassroots are mostly middle class white people. Plus Dean has raised the most money by far, and did it in small donations from lots of people. I want more campaigns like Dean's.

Again, I don't like the politician myself, but I can't argue with the organizing.

24. Never was. To get what? Vermont? Bill Richardson for me!
A VP has to be someone who brings in a constituency (dem voters that is), some personal talent (think Bill negotiating with North Korea) and be able to play well with others. No primadonnas need apply.

25. No
Dean has been quite plain about not being interested. He is a bit too out spoken for the VP slot.

Besides, the point is moot because he will win the nomination and get to do the picking.
