1. Did you hear "Don from Pleasanton"?
"People with AIDS should be colonized"

To Bernie, "Quit complaining, you sound like a bitch"

More of that compassionate conservatism.

Oh, to have one election, just ONE, where conservative white men could be barred from voting.

2. I heard that moron.
That's what freepers do when their argument can't hold water, everytime. Usually they resort to calling him a fat pig or something about his weight. It's just sad.

3. These people are scary. If you don't think, look and act like them,...
...you're the enemy.

Any one of the three qualifies you.

6. there's a lot of truth in that
hard to generalize, but many of them are pretty scary. And, the ironic thing is many of them are in reality cutting their own throats, so to speak, and they don't even know or realize it.

4. this Reagan fiasco is just prime evidence of media manipulation
Bernie has talked about the Reagan show last night, and/or last week, too.

if the right-wingnuts can get a show canceled that they don't like, it's just MORE proof of how the media corporations are manipulated and then engage in self-censorship.

I've said for a while that the media corporations will kiss up to the government because of the regulation power of the government. I just assumed that not only the media corps' license but other regulatory action could be taken to pressure and make life hard for them. Many didn't buy that. In fact, I heard Noam Chomsky even dismiss this theory when asked about. Chomsky said the corporations control the government.

But, I won't be forgetting the congressman from Virginia coming on Buchanan & Press last week and outright threatening action against CBS' license to broadcast because of this Reagan mini-series.

As far as that Reagan show, ... you hear people like Buchanan say how great Reagan was and how that miniseries doesn't tell the truth. I'd like to see a Reagan film showing him snitching on all his acquaintances and fingering his Hollywood friends as communists to Hoover and the FBI in the 50's and 60's. Now, with the recent release of the documents, this is a total fact. Not to mention Iran Contra and the U.S. being found to have committed terrorism by the World Court (the only country in the history of the world to be adjudged to have committed terrorism) after Reagan's people mined the harbors and terrorized the people of Nicaragua. What facts they could tell. sorry for the length.

Ellen wasn't that good to begin with and REALLY started to suck after she came out. Just setting that straight. :hippie:

11. No,
ABC(Disney)pissed their shorts when the zealots threatened a boycott. I and many people I know thought that Ellen was really funny.

9. Second Hour sounds good
Bernie is at his best tearing apart Bush. In the intro for the second hour Bernie said "Bush doesn't do well when he doesn't have a teleprompter. Bush contradicted himself and told more lies today."

Sounds like it could be good at 11:07 pm

10. Dumbya speaks and contradicts himself in a single speech
What more could you ask?

I hope that this is the topic after the news.
