Mayor Bloomberg is biting the hand that helped elect him.

In a magazine article due to hit stands tomorrow, Bloomberg takes some rare slaps at his political patron, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, whom he casts as a relentless micromanager who left the city divided by race.

"You forget that every single decision , everybody, every story, everything was always couched in terms of race," Bloomberg told Vanity Fair. "That's not true anymore."

"Think about all of the press attention to 9/11. That number of people die every year in the city from secondhand smoke," Bloomberg said.
