Edwards website provides new interactive electoral map
http://www.johnedwards2004.com/map/

Check out the rest of the website while you're at it.

People shouldn't assume that we'll automatically win all of the Gore states. The GOP's top 00 blue state targets are OR, NM, IO, WI, and PA. If they won all of them(and I believe they could against someone who would get swept in areas he had to really fight Gore for) if he won those states it would be 210 - 328 Bush.

On the other hand Edwards has personlly lived in both Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia. A combined 62 electoral votes that I believe he would make Bush, at a minimum, fight hard to hold on to even more than Gore did, and in the best case, win a few of them. Of course the most pivotal southern state for either party is Florida(27 votes), and I think that Edwards(and I suppose Clark) has the best chance at winning it, even without Graham as his veep(who someone like Kerry would need to take a shot at it.

I realize we can win without any southern states, but more options are always better and making the GOP work and spend everywhere is what we need.

6. YIKES!!!
I just got a nightmare scenario... If we take Nevada and New Hampshire, then there's a 269-269 tie...

I think AZ will go Democrat, so if we can get AZ and NV... we're in

Florida... who the hell knows...

7. it depends on the candidate
Kerry, Clark, or Edwards could take AZ., Others couldn't in all liklihood.

17. What happens then?
Honestly, I have no idea what happens if there's a tie in the EC.

Later.

12. You know..
I wish that EVERY candidate would do this on their homepage -

Candidates, if you're reading this: show us how you're going to get to that magical 270!

Tell me which states you're thinking about, which ones you think are in the bag, which ones you could uniquely bring aboard the D-train, and which ones are strange possibilities. Given that any of the nine would be fine (especially in comparison to Bush), I'm basing my primary vote on this. Give us a Roadmap to Change.

16. Keeping all the Gore states
expcept for PA and NM and picking up MO, OH and WV for the Dems, we win 270 to 268.
