Cher calling C-SPAN about mutilated soldiers at Walter Reed?

1. Yes, it did happen

it was actually pretty funny. She called up and the CSpan host asked what she was doing at Walter Reed Medical Center.

She at first didn't say her name, but said that she was an entertainer.

Well, she described how the people were so young and they had so little for them in the future. There are a lot of wounded soldiers at that hospital.

Anyohw, the CSpan host probably knew that there were a lot of famous people at the medical center because it has been on the news lately. He then asked her,

Host: Is this Cher?

Cher: yes this is.

Host: OK

It was really quite interesting.

She went on further to describe the condition of the soldiers.

She also described that she was a CSpan junkie (well, she didn't say that, but she implied it ) and that she watches it all of the time.

I heard it with my own two ears. I believe it was last Monday. There was definitely a thread or two about it.
