Ken Salazaar
Why is he able to win in CO but other Democrats there can't?

2. There are two reasons
He gets out the Hispanic vote.

He's pretty conservative - he was ranked by the DLC as one of the 5 best "up and coming" Democrats in an article I saw awhile ago.

He's not my fave - but I'm hoping he takes on Ben Asshole Campbell -
he'll bring the "Spanish" vote, and that will be good for everyone else running. Those folks stayed home in 2002, and it's part of the reason Strickland lost.

4. I think Mark Udall would have a hard time winning
They'd pin him with the "Boulder liberal" tag, and it would be all over.

I wish Gary Hart would run!

Fat chance, though....

6. Ditto. Gary Hart would stand a chance.
Was it Campbell, the Democrat, who took over Hart's Senate seat 10 years ago?

8. I sooooo much
miss Tim Wirth!

I think part of Ken Salazar's pull is that he has taken on some high profile issues, and stuck with it. If it hadn't been for his determination, the state's "No Call List" wouldn't have been so successful, if at all. It all depended on enforcement, and he stuck with it.
