This should be good for a quick laugh, especially this part:

"Along came Fox, and the disaffected became loyal viewers. Only Fox treats patriotism as something other than a sickness. Only Fox thinks America is a better country than its critics say. Only Fox thinks capitalism is good and not something for which an apology is necessary. Only Fox sees the world in tones other than moral equivalency."

Only Fox thinks capitalism is good? Is this guy the biggest idiot in existence or what? The entire mainstream media IS corporatism and capitalism personified--the fact that this clown can claim that Fox is the only network that likes capitalism should have this moron put behind bars.

4. Oh, this is Cal Thomas. He was right-wing before Reagan was.
Not patriotic enough to actually fight in a war, but he'll cheer others on . . . typical.

I have two little words for folks who actually think that Fox News is "fair and balanced." Roger Ailes.

This was Reagan's media hatchet man . . . the guy with Lee Atwater who brought you rapist/murder Willie Horton morphing into mild-mannered Michael Dukkais.

He now runs Faux News. Asshole bastard . . .

7. Where does it say that?
I had to read it twice to make sure, but this article basically still says the same ole thing.

8. There is something to that.

Disclaimer: I didn't read the article, just the above excerpt.

When Fox began it WAS the only news outlet that treated all of these issues with a bias. Other mainstream media outlets maintained a long tradition of presenting each of those described issues in an unbiased manner. This is what my fellow libs here fail to realize. When conservatives first complained about the media being too liberal, they meant it was too unbiased (specifically, the media should have presented the US side of the Vietnam War and not aired any opposing views). So in a way they were correct. The news media was mostly unbiased and, therefore, liberal.

I don't argue this point with conservatives. I acknowledge that it USED to be liberal and inform them that liberal news is by definition unbiased and that "liberal biased news" is an oxymoron.
