Washington, New York and Los Angeles- "imminent terror attacks"
http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/world/story/0,4386,218484,00.html

A previously unknown Islamic militant group has warned American Muslims to leave three major cities - Washington, New York and Los Angeles.

The warning has been interpreted as an ominous sign of imminent terror attacks

2. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Stay out of shopping malls the
day after Thanksgiving. Call me paranoid but I think they'll try to hit multiple soft targets with the greatest amount of causalities and the strong psychological effect.

(snip)

At a time when interfaith dialogue groups are opening around the country, when Islamic histories make the bestseller lists and bookstores can't keep the Koran in stock, when the nation is following the President's lead in working toward a fuller and more amicable appreciation of Islam and the Arab world, the Washington-based Middle East Media Research Institute spreads hate speech, baseless conspiracy theories and vicious calumny in a blatant effort to discredit Arabs and stir up malice toward Muslims. And they're providing a pretty valuable service in the process.

Heard about the Palestinian doctor's love letter to anthrax? How about the Saudi debate on the annihilation of Christians and Jews? The state-sponsored newspapers reporting that Rudy Giuliani is a Jewish, homosexual mack daddy who uses his diminutive first name to avoid being confused with the German dictator Rudolph Hitler? If you missed these stories, you're not just missing some vital perspectives on America's War On Terrorism (WOT). You might also consider giving up on such relatively tame online chuckle sources as Modern Humorist and your collection of wacky bin Laden Photoshops, and sign up instead for the full frontal comedy MEMRI delivers every day or so to its fax and e-mail list.

7. Ever notice ...
Ever notice how these attacks are always aimed at heavily democratic locations? Not to sound like a conspiracy kook, but don't you think it would show more intelligence on the part of the terrorists if they attacked the people more likely to want to attack Muslims just for being Muslims instead of those willing to have open dialogue and share the world with them?

So, if the terrorists are painted as religious wackos and our own far right wing fundamentalists also dislike liberals then whose side are the far right on anyway? Who was it that said the enemy of my enemy is a friend?

Sounds like someone has declared open season on liberals and the religious wack-jobs are all getting together to go hunting.

8. I don't know, dude...
...flying an NY-to-LA United flight into a silo in Des Moines won't really send shockwaves. Locals will probably think it was aliens anyway.

Later.

10. Two pronged fear!!
On one side, there is the official warnings and then on the other side is that vague report of a massive airlift to reinforce an imminient state of dread...

something might happen...
Oh yeah...the ABCNEWS report.
Nov. 5 — A possible negotiated peace deal was laid out in a heavily guarded compound in Baghdad in the days before the war, ABCNEWS has been told, but a top former Pentagon adviser says he was ordered not to pursue the deal, ABCNEWS has learned.
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/WNT/World/hage031105-1.html

and lots of dead soldiers and an admin that just sent a 'fixer' last week called Rice to 'fix' everything...and the usual news cycle garbage

OMG terrorists...!!!

that we're getting a warning about imminent terrorist attacks at the same time we're also hearing rumors of a massive movement of American military planes?

If an terrorist attack DOES go down, followed shortly thereafter by a U.S. strike on Syria or Iran, I'm going to be highly suspicious.

on edit: M/LIHOP???
