even after today's news, NOTHING CHANGES
So they got two very bad guys killed in Iraq today and the media salivated all over it today.

stay on message. why aren't the senators talking about NO WMDs? No al Queda link to Saddam? A BIG SAUDI LINK to 9-11? Lies about the budget deficits? there are just so many lies to go after.

Then we have people hiding behind one another to deflect blame from the cabinet members and president himself--even trashing former diplomats and outing CIA agents.

Karl Rove is a pimple on the buttocks of the world. We get rid of him when we keep exposing him and his lies that he feeds through the teleprompter to Howdy Doody.

DEMS gotta take a lesson from the Gray Davis's, Dan Rostentowski's, and Lyndon Johnson's of the world. YOU HIT THEM HARD AND NEVER RELENT BECAUSE THIS IS A FUCKING POWER PLAY.

You want the power? You think they're screwing it up? Then you gotta have the gall to go after them with no apologies.

Somebody outta be diggin' in the dirt and garbage about Rove himself. Just to show we can do it. I'm serious.

Time for a gut check in the entire Democratic party. If no serious and unrelenting action on part of leadership, operatives, and base....then kiss goodbye to viable second party. The other party has figured out their strategy of chipping away at the angles over the long term. THey really see decimation of second party as their chief goal leading to their later goals of unimpeded leadership of this country as a country you do not want to witness, my friends.

2. as much as I loved what Clinton did for our country....
Family Medical Leave Act, Increase availablity of college loans, preside over great economy despite Mexican economic crisis in 96 and Asian crisis in 97....I don't trust him on this one.

You could say he has more to gain by looking like the elder statesman that is "above the fray" and he will not be a reliable ally for anyone running for the WH in 04. I think he will help sandbag Dem efforts and deliver us 4 more years of Bush Putsch because he wants a primary battle for both parties when his wife runs in 08.

I'd rule Clinton out for anything other than fancy speech making and nostalgic moments of better times.

5. :) I don't say that
I loved Clinton too but after 20 years of information analysis (AND overload); I don't trust him on much. You can see what I think in the LBN thread in my first response. The truth just isn't pretty...

Peace

6. it's a critical time in history
big, big things are going down, scary, evil things. there is a real shit storm about to hit, and i think we should all brace ourselves and hang onto something and regroup on the other side when it's over.
gut check is right. the dems are fragmented as are the repubs. and they will come to blows like never before in the next days. it won't be pretty, these are the times that try men's souls. the only way to get it back like it's supposed to be is to take it back forcibly.
it's gonna be rough. but i am up to it, and i know you are too.

7. Rather than the Dems fighting the GOP
We should expect them to close ranks.

The events of the last weeks, the revelations of complicity, lies, foreknowledge, duplicity and etc are starting to really fly out of the dark, deep hole.

People that shine the light onto dark secrets are dying, being exposed, being smeared, having their careers ruined and their lives put in jeopardy.

People on the street are starting to question the government itself, GOP and DEM alike.

Soldiers are snarling and starting to question their mission, some are killing themselves. Their families are in agony, and starting to get very angry.

The economy is teetering (as usual) on the edge of serious hurt.

If the "system" continues to stagger and fall apart, if the monolithic front that is the corporate/military/industrial/political/economic/social apparatus comes under much more internal and external pressure, expect MOST politicians and pundits to try to cool it all off.

Self-preservation in the face of extremely ugle revelations that COULD spark popular revolt cause retrenchment...

8. The Clintons are sandbagging any hopefuls
for 2004. The whole Idea is for Hillary to have an open market to run in 2008. But I do believe that if bush continues to fall in the polls. Hillary might come out and run in 2004. If not, then just look at how herself(Book) now, Bill (Book) next year. They are trying to keep the democratic limelight on themselves. If they feel that bush is unbeatable in 2004 then they are sandbagging all the other Democratic canidates by keeping their name in the headlines. I dont know how to stop this but it really is what they are doing. If you look at the news it is obvious and it is sad. They will make sure if it isnt Hillary in 2004 it wont be any other Democrat
