Is Randi Rhodes ripping on this Ed Schultz?
Edited on Thu Nov-06-03 04:06 PM by eablair3
I just tuned in on the net to Randi Rhodes' radio show, and she seems to be ripping on another pick (Ed Schultz from S Dakota) for the "liberal" talk radio network that is being planned. She seems to be ripping on Schultz (she says she is also a pick to be on this network as well), as an egomaniac and "just in it for the money." She said she was trying to like the guy at a benefit to raise money for the network, but I guess she couldn't stand the guy.

I have never listened to this Schultz' show, and have only briefy saw him once on Buchanan & Press last week. He wasn't impressive there, but I don't know too much about him.

Was Randi Rhodes ripping on him? Did I hear that right? I tuned in, in the middle of the comments and was trying to figure out what was being said. Help?

1. She said he was very rude to her when they crossed paths in DC.
That was all I really caught.

2. all i know
is that i heard him on Buchanan & Press last week. They had this Steve Malzberg on for the rightwingnut side, and when Schultz was asked if he was liberal, he wouldn't say that he was. I understood his position (he said it depended on the issue, iirc), but I was wondering about the guy if he is supposed to be the topdog on a "liberal radio talk network" but won't say that he is liberal. Stange?

5. on c-span, he said he was Republican until the mid-90's
then had a reformation in thought process similar to Arianna Huffington...on C-SPAN he was seriously ripping Bush and the Repubes, so he can't be that bad

3. I wouldn't blame her if she were ticked over this guying being announced
almost as if he's the Dem's saviour...First, because until recently, he's been on the other side; and also, she's the one who's been pounding the Dems in DC about the state of the media.
Her "summit" yesterday in DC had many Dems on with her.

She just mentioned Ed Schultz again, she was down in a room with him with a Senator--she said, she was with Ed Schultz, "who you've never heard of."
