If the unemployment rate drops to 5.8% in Oct. 2004, will the mediawhores
say that Bush deserves reelection, because even though there were 44 months of job loss, on the 45th month of his Residency, a few people found some jobs? And because those who suffered from job loss now have tangible proof of a recovery?

Or if the bankruptcy rate peaks out in Sept. 2004, but declines in Oct., does this mean we should reward Bush?

If the stock market peaks in Jan. 2004, and the bear market resumes, should we be happy that we had the opportunity to sell at the top, and to sell short right through to the election to further profit?

Or if the death rate in Iraq drops 10% in Oct. 2004, should we congratulate our very unpopular war president for turning the corner?

Or if Ken Lay is forced to serve 4 weeks of community service, should we expect to hear that Bush will convict his friends if they commit crimes?

Or if gas prices drop from $2.80/gallon to 2.70 in Oct. 2004, should we be happy that the War for Oil is finally paying off?

In other words, do we elect Bush because it feels great when you stop banging your head against the wall?

You can spin anything.

3. But what kind of jobs are we talking about?
If the jobless rate drops, that still doesn't mean that people are working in full time with benefits jobs, it may mean that people have been out of work for so long they no longer have unemployment benefits coming in, they may be working part time jobs, temp jobs, or some other stop-gap desperation employment to keep from losing the roof over their heads.

4. BushCo reports jobs created, but not jobs lost. We need the net increase.
But of course the CNBC mediawhores Kudlow and Cramer and the rest won't report this..
