Do you think they are going to do an all-nighter? |

I heard they are going to shove the judicial nominees through the Senate.
This is going to look ugly.
I hope Byrd speaks for the next day and a half.
The longest filibuster on recrod is by Strom Thurmond -- 24 hours, 18 minutes on the Civil Rights Act of 1957.

and they want to push everything through that they can.
Here's the quote of the day from CQ"
"My personal opinion is if we don't get this thing done now, we don't get it done. It will be impossible for us to get anything major done after we adjourn in the fall." -- House Speaker J. Dennis HASTERT, R-Ill., speaking of a Medicare drug bill (HR 1).
**** except I think it's not just about the medicare bill, I think this is across the board. they know things aren't looking as rosy right now for the GOP - so they want to muscle everything they can through now. TIQ
And I hope Byrd speaks for as long as he can - I have enjoyed his rants of late.

They way Byrd talks, slow, deliberate, lots of emphasis, it'll drive them crazy.
