Jessica Lynch is an American Hero and a true Patriot

In a nation full of fascist mendancious mealy mouthed jackels who wouldn't know the truth if it bit them hard on the ass, here is a a woman who served her nation honorably in combat and refuses to perpetuate a bunch of lies that make her look good. She resents the lies told about her and refutes them in public as well as the warmongers who tell them.

Jessica, I believe you, and I'm proud that you are an American who won't be lied about. I don't know what your political affiliations are, I don't know if you have any. But our nation is under the thumb of the worst tyranny since "tailgunner" Joe McCarthy proved Eisenhower was a gutless coward. And you have stood up and asked them to stop. Not since Joseph Welch quietly questioned whether they tyrant McCarthy "At long last, have you left no sense of decency?" has this nation needed the legitmacy of the propaganda spewed by the right wing cried out for want of a challenge.

I think that Ms. Lynch has unwittingly set the bar for all American Patriots: We will not be lied about by our government. We will not be shut up by our government. We will not be lied to by our government. We will not allow our government to withhold the truth about wars we wage in the name of our freedom and safety. Nor will we allow our government to lie and withhold the truth on those that they would set forth as the enemies of our people.

Her dismissal of the Pentagon seems hypocritical in light of her new book. Couldn't she have declined to participate in such a dishonest, lucrative, publishing endeavor? Or was the allure of quick $ too intoxicating? I will believe her mea culpas when she donates her entire proceeds to a liberal charity AND endorses Clark.
