How to continue the Democratic Southern strategy dialog
Get Sharpton, Dean and Edwards to do a series of forums including a representive of the NAACP and Sons of the Confederacy, and have them hit several southern and mid-western cities. I don't know if people know this but areas of Ohio and Indiana and illinois have been known to be racist hotbeds.

We need to continue to try for the southern vote and promote a national dialog on race racism, and outgrown Southern strategies.

2. Clark would play great
Clark will/would play great in the South. There are many bases in the South and I'd say a large number of residents on the bases are not going to go for Bush. Also Clark is a Southerner.

3. I only mentioned the folks who
talked about the issue at that Rock the vote debate. But invitations to all other candidates could be made..

4. televised debates
I wish the televised debates were more focused.

They seem to spend 50% of the time talking about Iraq no matter what the focus was supposed to have been.

Also, they only give them a minute to speak at a time.

I like your idea of debates/discussions with fewer of the candidates and on a specific topic such as what the Democratic party can do for the South.
