How can we do well in the South without nominating DINOs?

seems to me in we play into the rw's hands whenever we nominate someone like Zell Miller. I'm sick and tired of hearing the media tell us we should surrender our beliefs. How can we nominate real Democrats in the South? Is there anyway we can force them to dump their 700 Club Freeper mentallity. Could it be done?

2. Boy wouldn't it be nice

It seems like the only way would be to get people who don't normally vote to start doing so. The base on each side is dug in. The independents may not really exist. The ones that don't vote at all would add to the pool, like energy from nowhere. To get them to vote you would have to make them think voting would matter, or I guess you could just pay them - they might do it for money. Pretty depressing, huh?

Hell, the conservative South would probably like Carol Moseley-Braun better than they would Kerry or the like.
