Reagan: "We're doing all that we can"

All this flak regarding the Reagan miniseries reminds me of a newsworthy event in the late 80's. Anyone remember this?
Ronnie and Nancy were at their ranch and reporters were firing questions at them. A question was asked by a reporter (don't remember what though) but you could hear Nancy prompt Ronnie. She whispers, "We're doing all that we can". Then he replied to the question, "We're doing all that we can!". I would love to have a clip of that!
Funny and scary at the same time, considering he had his finger on the button.
If anyone remembers the context, I'd love to know.

I'm sure Nancy is aware of the Hinkley-Bush connection. She makes it her business to know these things.

I'm sure someone will recall the specific issue ... I'm thinking it might have been AIDS ... but, not sure. When did Rock Hudson pass away?

Looking back of some of the smart-arse things he said just brings back nightmares of his presidency.

Hopefully, someone will return the favor to the Repukes:

- a recession is when your neighbor loses his job, a depression is when you lose yours, and recovery is when George Bush loses his

- it reminds me of a conservative economist wiping egg off his face
