unemployment PLUNGED...WOWWWWWEEEEE from 6.1 percent....

ALL THE WAY DOWN TO............ 6.0 percent..

Little Miss Perky was BEAMING...and she also said that LOTS of jobs were coming ... in the following "industries"

warehouse stores like....home depot, walmart, sams clubs..
large retailers like.....sears
discount stores like.....dollar stores and the like..

and then MSRNC did a piece about a place in Hooks Texas that will be hiring LOTS of folks.. They have not hired in any significant numbers in the last SEVEN years, but NOW they forsee the need for LOTS of "new blood" (odd choice of words, eh?) and that these jobs were PERMANENT and would probably last for many years.....

This place makes patriot missiles and bradley fighting vehicles..

I bet this news will get all those unemployed professionals all warm & glisteny...:eyes:

Odd though, her report did not seem to include any information about the PAY SCALE or liklihood of any benefits that came along with these marvelous NON-UNION , low-pay jobs..

Maybe since they are better than McD's, people are just supposed to be thrilled anyway..

1. McJobs.
It doesn't matter, Bush will still regard that as a "recovery" and good news.
Especially with more tech jobs going overseas (India).
Who's the traitor now?

2. And just WHAT do these jobs provide?
They are NOT production jobs....
Americans are washing each other's laundry...SERVICE jobs... Insane!
So, this is "good" news? :wtf:

5. So what, wallmart is hiring
let me know when there are a lot more living wage jobs in the US, then I will get excited. I'm really angry that they are spinning it like this, not that I wouldn't expect them to.

I think corporations should be taxed heavily, and given tax cuts according to how many living wage jobs they create in the US.
