Does anyone know where we can find info on current new volunteer enlist rates into the military?

1. The stars and stipes
had an article on Oct 20th, so far they claim they are meeting
them.

But for those of us connected with the service they are not

They are playing fuzzy math

I mean the US navy suddenly did not need 10K jobs?

See what I mean?

2. Right they lower the numbers TWICE
as I remember until they "meet their goal" for the quarter.

4. Don't know
but this a.m. I watched an entire half hour infomercial for the Air Force Reserves on television (lots of flags and patriotic images). An entire half hour? Jeez, I don't think they are meeting their expectations.

5. Here is what the military is saying
Contradicted by many other media articles however

The Army is doing "very, very well," said Doug Smith, a spokesman with the Army Recruiting Command. The service fully anticipates hitting its recruiting targets this year, as the service has since fiscal 2000, Smith said. Through August, the Army has recruited 67,354 soldiers, with enough enrolled under the delayed entry program to make the 73,800 needed by the end of September. Again, retention has driven down the number of new soldiers needed. The Army's recruiting goal at the beginning of the fiscal year was set at 76,000.
